What does it mean to connect materially in today’s networked times? C-O-N-N-E-C-T: A Blueprint for Collaboration is an instruction-manual-meets-philsophical-handbook for DIY furniture building and inspiring physical closeness in fractured times.

As part of my role as head of publishing at Dinamo, I edited and published this zine as part of a pop-up installation at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt: HKW in Berlin. Inside the zine’s pages, you’ll find instructions for easy furniture creations, a foreword by myself, and an essay by technology journalist and author James Vincent, whose 2022 book Beyond Measure was a New Yorker, Times and Economist “Book of the Year.” It offers a prosaic perspective on what physical nearness means in the age of social media.
